Responsible Citizen

I am going to take part in the Vintage Rally, out in Hatston. We will be taking out our M.G. which is 30 years old. We will be driving around in circles for like….3 hours! It’s taking place in the summer sometime.

Reflection: It helps us not to forget the best quality cars, and the best cars ever made! Most of the cars back in those days are much better quality than a lot of cars being built today.

Confident Individual

I play squash, and recently took part in an Orkney under 15's tournament. I did quite well, and got to the semi finals when I lost to Sam Scott. The reason I lost was because he got a buy through, and when it came to our game he was not exausted but I was knackered!

Successful Learner

I have recently written an English essay of which I am quite proud of. I have also recently indulged on a deliciously composed novel by George Mackay Brown. I also did very well in my science test. I have just completed a Maths test in which I think I have done quite well.

Reflection: My Maths test results have shown me that I need to revise long in advance. Also that it pays of to put in a lot of effort if you are writing an essay, because it helps you get good grades in the future.

About Me

My name is Elias Dohrn, I go to Kirkwall Grammar School and I am 14 years old. I moved to Orkney about 10 years ago. Orkney is a small group of islands at the very north of Scotland. I live in Kirkwall, which is the capital. My favourite subjects at school are English, Science, P.E., Home Ec., Geography and History. My hobbies are fishing, doing stuff with friends, pier jumping (in the summer.) As the weather is not very good up here I can only go pier jumping in the summer. I live with my two big brothers and my dad. My mum lives in Germany. When i grow up I want to be a pilot.
